For word-list scramble practice, use the spelling tools. For number↔letter matching, use the matching generator.
When to use / when not to
Cloze reading, grammar warm-ups, or ESL sentence practice from sentences you already wrote.
Spelling scramble lists belong on the spelling worksheet generator. Numbered matching belongs on the matching generator.
Assumptions
One sentence per line. The tool blanks a word per line for write-in practice — check which word was blanked in the preview.
Worked examples
EXAMPLE 01
Input: 8 short cloze sentences
Output: one practice page
Works well as a reading warm-up.
EXAMPLE 02
Input: 5 grammar-focused sentences
Output: a shorter check page
Target one skill (past tense, plurals, etc.).
How it works
- Paste sentences, one per line.
- Generate blanks and skim which words were removed.
- Adjust sentences if a blank feels unfair.
- Print students; keep a key with full sentences if you want one.
Common traps
- Unfair blanks (the only hard word, or a proper noun kids never saw) frustrate everyone — edit before printing.
- Long sentences wrap badly on primary pages — keep them short.
- Print at 100% scale.

FAQ
